About Richard Heasley
Mr Richard Heasley is a highly qualified Consultant Shoulder and Upper Limb Surgeon with 20 years of orthopaedic experience, including arthroscopic (keyhole) procedures and shoulder replacement surgeries. He is dedicated to helping patients regain strength, mobility, and quality of life, guiding them through every step of their recovery.
Professional Memberships
In addition to his private practice, Richard serves as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. From 2013 to 2019, he worked as an Orthopaedic Consultant at Pennine Acute NHS Trust, where he held the position of Clinical Director of Elective Orthopaedic Surgery from 2017 to 2019. Richard has a strong emphasis on patient safety and has been involved in Clinical Governance and Audit from 2013 to 2016. Since joining Stockport NHS Foundation Trust in 2019, he has continued this focus by acting as the Venous Thromboembolism Lead and Complaints Lead.
He also has a keen interest in training and developing the next generation of Orthopaedic surgeons. Richard is actively involved in the regional training programme and supervises a Senior Clinical Fellow who is nearing the Consultant grade as part of his NHS responsibilities.
